一次搞懂 a, an, the 英文冠詞

When to use "a or an":

1st time: There is a fly in my soup. 「第一次」看到蒼蠅在我的湯裡
1 or any: I need a pen. 我需要一支筆「這支筆沒有特定一支，是筆都好」
Some quantities: a couple, a few, a bottle 一些數量「a couple of pens」一些筆
Jobs: I'm a chef 講到「職業」的時候
Exclamations singular: What a beautiful day! 用「驚嘆號」但是在講單數

When to use "the":
2nd time: What is the fly doing in my soup? 「第二次」看到這隻蒼蠅，已經不是第一次，再講特定這隻
Only 1: the moon, the Earth, the King 只有「一個」像是月亮/地球/國王
Rivers and Seas: the Mediterranean Sea, the Nile River 講到某個海域或河流
Superlatives: the best cookie in Taipei 講到「最...」台北市最好吃的餅乾
Inventions: the computer 講到發明，像是電腦

When to use "no article":
Exclamations plural: Your dogs are so cute! 用「驚嘆號」講到多數時，都不需要任何冠詞
meals: breakfast, lunch 講到「早餐午餐晚餐」也都不需要
Generalizations: Dogs are cuter than cats. 講到泛化，「狗狗比貓咪可愛」沒有講到特定的狗或貓
Proper nouns: People, countries, cities 講到「人名/國家/城市」都不需要冠詞喔
Special places: school, university 講到特別的地方像是學校或大學也是不需要

A/AN:
When something is not specific or is one of many: I see a fly over there
講到不是特定的東西時
THE:
With specific things, things the speaker and the listener know: Oh no! The fly flew into my soup!
講到特定的東西時，講話的人以及聆聽的人都知道那個東西
NO ARTICLE:
To talk about things in general (plural): Dogs are very smart
講到某個東西，被廣泛使用。

A/AN:
To talk about something for the first time: I saw a movie last night.
第一次講到這件事
THE:
With things we've mentioned before: The movie was awesome!
講過這件事的話，之後就需要用「the」
NO ARTICLE:
Before possessive adjectives (my, your, his, her, its, our, your, their): My boyfriend loves the movie.
講到某個人(提到此人與別人的關係時)，不需要加冠詞：我的/妳的/她的

A/AN:
To talk about jobs or hobbies: She is a teacher.
講到工作或是嗜好，廣泛地使用：她是一位老師
THE:
With a specific job only one person can have: He is the music teacher of the 5th grade band.
講到只有一個人能擁有的特定職位：他是五年級的音樂老師。
NO ARTICLE:
Before names or before Mr. and Mrs.: Mrs. Johnson loves music.
講到姓名/先生/女士尊稱使用時，不需要

A/AN:
With singular countable nouns: Give me a hug.
講到單數的名詞：請給我一個...
THE:
With something unique or if there's one of it: The sun is so bright today.
講到特別的東西/事情，只有一個的時候，太陽只有一個所以前面需要「the」
NO ARTICLE:
To talk about abstract concepts: Life is full of surprises.
講到抽象的概念時，不需要冠詞
